Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) sets out the basis on which AP Closet Solution Pte. Ltd. (“we”, “us”, or “our”) may collect, use, disclose, or otherwise process personal data of our customers in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (“PDPA”). This Policy applies to personal data in our possession or under our control, including personal data in the possession of organisations we have engaged to collect, use, disclose or process personal data for our purposes.

Personal Data

As used in this Policy, “customer” means an individual who (a) has contacted us through any means to find out more about our goods or services, or (b) may, or has, entered into a contract with us for the supply of any goods or services. “Personal data” means data, whether true or not, about a customer who can be identified from that data, or from that data and other information to which we have or are likely to have access.

Depending on the nature of your interaction with us, some examples of personal data we may collect from you include your name, residential address, email address and telephone number.

Other terms used in this Policy shall have the meanings given to them in the PDPA (where the context so permits).

Collection, Use and Disclosure of Personal Data

We generally do not collect your personal data unless (a) it is provided to us voluntarily by you directly or via a third party authorised by you to disclose your personal data to us (“authorised representative”) after (i) you (or your authorised representative) have been notified of the purposes for which the data is collected, and (ii) you (or your authorised representative) have provided written consent to the collection and usage of your personal data for those purposes, or (b) collection and use of personal data without consent is permitted or required by the PDPA or other laws. We shall seek your consent before collecting any additional personal data and before using your personal data for a purpose which has not been notified to you (except where permitted or authorised by law).

We may collect and use your personal data for any or all of the following purposes: operating our website and/or its subdomains (“Website”); communicating with our customers; updating your personal and contact information; performing obligations in connection with our provision of the goods and/or services requested by you; verifying your identity; responding to and processing queries, requests, applications, complaints and feedback; managing your relationship with us; processing payment transactions; complying with applicable laws or regulations, or assisting in law enforcement and investigations by any government or regulatory authority; for internal business operations including statistical, analytical, planning and reporting purposes; and any other incidental purposes related to or in connection with the above.

This Policy does not apply to aggregated information which does not identify any individual.

We may disclose your personal data: where such disclosure is required for performing our obligations in connection with the goods or services requested by you; to third-party service providers, agents or organisations we have engaged to perform any functions for the above mentioned purposes; or if required by law or if disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, property or personal safety, or that of any person. We may also disclose your personal data where your consent has been obtained.

Where your use of our Website is concerned, you acknowledge that certain features may involve the disclosure of your personal data to third parties and you agree to such sharing. We shall not be responsible for any loss or damage arising from such disclosures initiated by your use of these Website features.

Withdrawing Your Consent

Your consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal data remains valid until withdrawn in writing. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting our Data Protection Officer in writing or via email. Upon receipt of your request, we may require time to process your withdrawal and notify you of the consequences, which may include our inability to continue providing our goods or services to you. We will generally process your request within ten (10) business days. Withdrawal of consent does not affect our right to collect, use or disclose personal data where such actions are permitted or required under applicable laws.

Access to and Correction of Personal Data

If you wish to access a copy of your personal data or request correction of your personal data, please submit your request in writing or via email to our Data Protection Officer. A reasonable fee may be charged for access requests, and we will inform you of the fee before processing your request. We will respond to your request as soon as reasonably possible and, in general, within thirty (30) business days. If we are unable to comply with your request, we will inform you of the reason unless we are not required to do so under the PDPA.

Protection of Personal Data

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification or disposal. While no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, we strive to safeguard your information and regularly review our security measures.

Accuracy of Personal Data

We rely on the personal data you provide to us. To ensure that your data is current and accurate, please inform us in writing of any changes to your personal information.

Retention of Personal Data

We may retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required or permitted by law. When retention is no longer necessary, we will remove or anonymise your personal data in a secure manner.
